iDetect Support
What does iDetect do?
- iDetect finds open wireless networks in the fastest, easiest way possible.
It will only notify you once it has verified that you can access the internet.
WiFi networks do not have to be known to the iTouch or iPhone.
No user intervention is required and clear visual signals are given to show the quality of the connection (round trip time of requesting and receiving web pages)
How can I use iDetect when I'm off the net?
-
When you choose to "Add to Home Screen" or "Add Bookmark" iDetect will automatically store itself for use offline, so that you can use it to search out the net whenever you need to. No special steps or software are required as it is already encoded for local storage.
Why not have an audible alarm?
- Limitations in the iPhone implementation of Safari prevent sounds from playing properly and would cause interuption in the function of the program. We expect updates of iPhone OS and Safari to remedy the problem shortly and will add an audible alarm as soon as it becomes possible.
How do I know when updates are available?
- iDetect will display a message to notify you whenever updates become available.
How do I Enable JavaScript?
-
Hit your iPhone's home button, then choose the "Settings" icon. Choose "Safari" from the list, then turn "JavaScript" on.
How do I delete an App?
-
Go to your iPhone's Home Screen and press on any icon until they all start wiggling.
Then you can delete any of the Icons by pressing the x in the top corner of the
icon. Once done, hit the square home button.
Note that only apps you installed may be removed, apps that come with your iPhone cannot be deleted.
